Giorgio’s Restaurant at The View Boutique Hotel & Spa

Situated in The View Boutique Hotel & Spa, Giorgio’s Restaurant is a must-visit if you’re looking for a fine dining experience. Frequented by hotel guests and locals, it’s a versatile spot for friend lunches overlooking the ocean or romantic evening meals with an accompanying diamond wine list. During our stay at the hotel, we were lucky enough to dine at the restaurant for lunch and dinner.

After getting settled in our rooms, we decided to take a walk to the restaurant to refuel after the trip. We took a seat in the outside area, enjoying the view and the afternoon sun. We got to know the friendly staff who guided us through their lunch menu. Looking for something easy to share, we opted for one of their iconic pizzas, the Jimmy Choo. All of their pizzas are named after designer brands, each with a distinct flavour and style. Hayden, our friendly neighbourhood waiter, answered all of our questions and suggested the best and prettiest drinks to complement the pizza. Delicious and refreshing, we sipped on some cocktails and enjoyed the laid-back ambience. Before you get your food, you get a miniature margherita pizza to snack on! It was adorable and delicious. For lighter meals, their wraps and fries are a great combination for a midday meal.

Dinner time at the restaurant is intimate and cosy, providing a setting for an evening of good food and relaxation. You can choose from their diamond wine list to pair with your food. With a distinct Italian influence, their pizzas and pastas are must-try dishes! The chicken pesto pasta, made with penne pasta and a sweet basil sauce, makes for a hearty meal. I had a few people asking for tastes, the aroma drawing attention from everyone at the table. Their seafood selections are made with fresh ingredients, often caught on the same day. The creamy garlic prawns and mussels pasta is as good as it sounds. Made with succulent garlic prawns and served in a creamy white wine sauce, and half-shell mussels with linguine, it’s perfect for seafood lovers and anyone trying it out for the first time; the flavours are bold yet not overpowering. The fish of the day is a popular dish, and for good reason, it is served with creamy mash and roasted vegetables. We had a bit of fish pieces and mash being poached from each other, wanting to try the dish.

A meal isn’t complete without a sweet treat, and with Giorgio’s dessert selection, you’re going to want to leave a little space at the end. Served with vanilla ice cream and topped with chocolate sauce, the chocolate brownie with pecan nuts was a perfect end to an amazing evening. Throughout our experience, with every visit, the team ensured we were well-taken care of, and every patron who walks through their doors receives professional and friendly service.
