These include The Bush Tavern, the recently renovated and reimagined Rockpool (formerly Mundo Vida), the very luxe Bel Punto, and the new kid on the block, Salt and Citrus, which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.
A little further south, on a grass patch at the corner of South Beach Road and Margaret Bacon Avenue, is the locals’ favourite coffee spot – Doloras Coffee, where runners, surfers and dog walkers convene from sunrise to lunchtime for their daily dose of caffeine with a view. On your way out of Umdloti, at the White Sands Centre, you’ll find one of South Africa’s favourite franchises, Mozambik.
