If there’s one thing we have learnt over the past few months, it’s how important our health is! These fabulous professionals help us keep healthy and happy here on the East Coast.
Lulu Becker from LuluJay Physiotherapy
A mum of two little girls, a yoga teacher and a physiotherapist with a special interest in women’s and pelvic health: this is Lulu Becker! Her Physio approach is very holistic, drawing extensively on her insight and intuition gained from a decade of treating women, focusing solely on women’s health and the muscles of the pelvic floor, as well as many courses she has completed around the world during this time. She explains how most women associate the pelvic floor muscles with Kegel exercises and have been told that they need to repetitively squeeze and strengthen them. However, the majority of the ladies she sees need to relax the muscles as they can be too tight. Lulu says that an overactive pelvic floor can cause constipation, pain and incontinence. Lulu’s practice treats women while they are pregnant and assists with breastfeeding related issues such as blocked ducts and cracked nipples. She assists women and men with pelvic pain and incontinence and helps children struggling with constipation, accidents and bed-wetting.
